A  microphone is a way of inputting audio and the input can be recorded and stored on the device e.g. computer, mobile. The input through a microphone can be used in many ways such as making phone calls and using applications such as Skype.









Mouse

The mouse can be used for many activities on the computer, you need a mouse for nearly everything on a computer. You can get a wireless and a wired cable mouse. You can use a mouse to copy cut and paste an image.







Graphics Tablet

A graphics tablet allows you to draw images and for them to be displayed on the monitor. This is commonly used by artists and architectures for high detailed drawings.










Keyboard


The majority of computers need a keyboard to input data into a computer. They are very useful and very user friendly. In digital graphics they can be used to input text into images or websites.






Scanner

A scanner inputs data to a computer by scanning in a image and displaying it on the computer monitor. This can be very useful in digital graphics as an image could be scan into a computer and then edited with a graphics package.









Digital Camera

Digital cameras are used to capture digital stills. These digital stills can be uploaded to a computer or printed as a hard copy. Depending on the camera quality will determine the quality of the images that can be taken on the camera.








Mobile Phone

A mobile is an output device as it outputs an image on its screen and outputs sound through its speakers. There is a wide variety of phones on the market with all different types of output mediums for example, touch screens.
